Isabelle Oduber (born Isabel del Mar Oduber Mujica) was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, where she began her journey into high society and international fashion. 

Her Caracas Roots and Rise to Fame

• Early Life: She was born on March 6, 1956, in Caracas, Venezuela to Pablo Antonio Bonilla Chacón and María de Jesús Oduber Mujica. [1]
• High Society Connection: In the mid-1970s, she was a prominent figure in Caracas' elite social circles. She famously introduced international figures to members of the city's high society, including Reinaldo Herrera (husband of fashion designer Carolina Herrera).
• The Move to New York: Following a personal falling out in Caracas during the late 1970s, she moved to New York City. There, she dramatically altered her appearance, lost weight, and pivoted into professional modeling—subsequently becoming a muse for Oscar de la Renta and working with the Ford Modeling Agency. [1, 2, 3]
• Tragic Passing: She passed away at the age of 41 on July 14, 1997, during a visit to her mother back home in Venezuela
